Imagine having to choose between the following:
• keeping the heat turned on in the dead of winter,
• having a roof over your head, or
• putting the only meal your family will have for the day on the table.
Which would you choose? http://ow.ly/i/DC2x http://ping.fm/eEHLx

GOFoods Global’s mission to feed and prosper American families makes GO Tour 2012 stop on Armed Forces Day, the day set aside by President Harry S. Truman as a single holiday for citizens to come together and thank those who support the United States of America in patriotic service. GOFoods Global offers storable meals that can be served, saved, and shared for up to 25 years, and the company’s new program, GO Forces, is gifting complimentary wholesale membership for those who serve our country.
Salt Lake City, Utah – May 2012 – In honor of the Armed Forces National Holiday on May 19, 2012, and in conjunction with GO Tour 2012 to feed and prosper American families, today GOFoods is pleased to announce GO Forces, a new program designed to give back and feed the freedoms of our military, veterans, law enforcement, fire, emergency services, and seniors—those who have given so much to our country.
As part of the GO Forces program, eligible individuals will receive a waived wholesale membership fee (regularly $29.95 per year), special shopping days, and additional discounts and gifts through specific coupon codes throughout the year. Details about the program can be found at GOForces.org.
• Members of the uniformed services and adult dependents (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy; active duty and both active and inactive reserve and National Guard)
• Retired members of the uniformed services and adult dependents (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy)
• Foreign exchange service members on permanent duty with the Department of Defense
• Civilian employees of the Department of Defense (appropriated, non-appropriated, or retired) and adult dependents
• American Red Cross personnel serving overseas with the U.S. military
• Department of Defense dependent schoolteachers and adult dependents
• Disabled American veterans
• All active and retired law enforcement, fire, and emergency service personnel
• All seniors qualify by being 65 years young
Eligibility is simple: when enrolling as a member, simply provide your basic eligibility information where requested on the GO Forces sign-up form. After your no-cost enrollment is complete, we will do the rest to say thank you for your contribution to our freedoms. We honor you—and we fully embrace the honor system by letting you govern your qualification and eligibility in this wonderful program.
Brad Stewart says he truly believes those who serve the country need and deserve our extra special attention and help in these challenging times.
President Harry S. Truman led the effort to establish a single holiday for citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country. In an excerpt from the Presidential Proclamation of Feb. 27, 1950, Mr. Truman stated: “Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 1950, marks the first combined demonstration by America's defense team of its progress, under the National Security Act, towards the goal of readiness for any eventuality. It is the first parade of preparedness by the unified forces of our land, sea, and air defense.”Since its cause-minded celebrity launch in February this year, GoTour 2012 has traveled to 18 American cities to share a message of feeding and prospering families with readiness and food preparedness through GOFoods Global meals. “We feel that the Armed Forces Day motto of keeping America ‘strong and secure, united in purpose, and steadfast in service’ aligns with the purpose of the GOFoods Foundation, which is to give back to our communities and support American families,” said Brad Stewart, president of GOFoods Global. “To show our appreciation for the protection, freedoms, and hard-earned wisdom these individuals unselfishly provide us, the GO Forces program is a small but heartfelt way to say thank you.” GOFoods Global warmly extends GO Forces membership to the following recipients:
“Thank you for your unwavering commitment to serving our freedoms and elevating our way of life, and for joining our mission to feed and prosper families everywhere,” said Brad Stewart. “We are delighted to help feed your personal freedoms through serving, saving, and sharing GOFoods—and the GO Forces Program is our small way of feeding and prospering you!”GO Tour 2012 operates across the entire year in four phases. Phase 1 successfully covered 18 western cities within the United States. Phase 2 will launch on June 9 in the same region, and then Phases 3 and 4 include visits to the central and eastern regions of Canada and the United States in addition to the company’s GO Cruise summer incentive trip in the Caribbean. More details and updated tour schedules can be found at www.GOTour2012.com throughout the year. The GOFoods Foundation initiative continues to give back by donating one package of food for every ten purchased to local communities. This program and mission are very personal to GOFoods Global because serving for freedom has been a way of life for generations of their associates, family, friends, and neighbors. About the GOFoods Foundation: To fulfill the GOFoods mission to feed and prosper the world, the GOFoods Foundation partners with charities located around the country and donates food towards the areas of greatest need. Many people believe that the good you put out to the universe comes back tenfold. When considering partnership agencies, GOFoods will also look at the areas of the country where GOFoods products are being purchased. We want to make donations in your community as a way of saying thank you for purchasing GOFoods product. When you acquire 10 pouches from GOFoods for your own needs, GOFoods Foundation will donate 1 pouch towards a contribution in your area. It’s our wish for you that through your caring generosity you may receive a true tenfold return. Together we will feed and prosper the world, one meal at a time. [caption id="attachment_545" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Power Mom Kim and daughter Maddy demonstrating the 2 minute or less meals!"]
Hi, I am Kim Power Stilson and today I continue the Power Mom Food Fund eFoods Global quest and hope that my daily log will help other mom's take this bold step. I like staying home with my kids and I like feeding them too. Can I do both? If I can share a food message while staying at home and help other moms do the same then I will have done something worthwhile with my life! I am excited about this journey!
“There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting.”
Today I got online and took the Food Freedom Tour
Wow, I learned something and I was impressed! I ordered the eFoods Global Essentials Pack! It has 400 servings for my family at around 88 cents per serving. WE can try almost everything eFoods has to offer and see what we like! I am excited to have my family try it! Feeding it to them and seeing if they like it will be the real test!

The Power Mom Feeding and Funding Mission Begins from the Kitchen . . .
“Let us do our duty in our shop or kitchen; in the market, the street, the office, the school, the home, just as faithfully as if we stood in the front rank of some great battle, and knew that victory for mankind depended on our bravery, strength, and skill.” Theodore Parker
My name is Kim Power Stilson. I am going to wage battle for my family in the kitchen. I am not a good cook but I like to have family dinners round the table. I am married to a policeman, and although he is very handsome I find it hard to feed and fund our family on his salary. Don't get me wrong, we're happy to have his salary but for me after having worked for 17 years to help support our family working out of the home, I am now, for the first time ever, going to try something different! I am going try staying at home to work, with my kids, and support my family from the kitchen!
Support the Power Mom Food Fund Freedom Tour here!
Now having always worked I have not had time to cook. In fact, I do most of our cooking from a slow cooker. (You may have heard of my 2 minute or less recipes which in fact are fast and really quite good, see tab for your copy.) So after recent changes in my life (see my last post) I have decided it to make my focus to share healthy ways to help moms feed and fund their families in all economic circumstances from the kitchen.
Today I am starting the Power Mom Food Fund. My goal is to feed and fund my family and other families from home by sharing ways to (as my good friend Donna Root always says) keep everyone eating and sleeping indoors. From kitchen to kitchen, I hope to share the food news to other moms!

I have been successful yet I feel like it is time I make a difference by proving that serving, saving and sharing mission of the eFoods Global company. I am choosing them because I like what they do, I like their mission and it seems like a great time to focus on finding a solution for moms and families like me who struggle a little to keep their families funded and fed. Can a business mom who has never really spent more than a few minutes in the kitchen do this? I am going to do everything I can and with my families help I hope we shall be successful!
Harry Truman said,
“If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.”
Well, I'll take that challenge!
Before I order eFoods Global meals for my family to serve, share and save! (I like the ring of that!) I need to check them out! Tomorrow I go to the eFoods Global Warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Talk About ?Recognizing Trauma Symptoms in Children? on ?Healing Talk? radio show
Talk About “Recognizing Trauma Symptoms in Children” on “Healing Talk” radio show.
This week’s Talk Radio Topic is “Recognizing Trauma Symptoms in Children” on Planetary Streams Talk Radio
Salem, UT – December 8, 2010 – Planetary Streams Talk Radio Network today announced that Diana Hoffman, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Trauma Recovery Specialist, and host of “Healing Talk” radio show, will be discussing “Recognizing Trauma Symptoms in Children.” Healing Talk broadcasts locally every Wednesday on Utah’s KSTAR 1400 AM and globally throughout the following week, starting on Saturday at 11 a.m. Mountain Time on Planetary Streams Talk Radio Network, and Web Campus World Wide Talk Radio.
According to Diana Hoffman, LPC, Trauma Recovery Specialist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Mind/Body Healing Coach, and owner of Salem Counseling Center, Children are frequently impacted by trauma. The Ace Studies indicate that over 50 percent of today’s adults have unresolved trauma from their childhood. And today’s children have an even higher rate of trauma than the previous generation. Current estimates suggest that 33 percent for girls and 20 percent of boys experience sexual abuse trauma. Fifty percent of children experience divorce. In addition, trauma symptoms and trauma freeze states are often seen in children who have experienced medical procedures and surgeries, accidents, death of a family member or pet, disasters, witnessing violence, physical or emotional abuse, bullying or gang terrorization, and other stressors.
Unresolved trauma directly impacts the brain stem, the lower brain structures, and the limbic system of the brain. These effects do not just go away with time. If not resolved, they can have a serious long-term impact. This is demonstrated by the ACE studies, which show that unresolved childhood trauma impacts adult health problems, relationship problems and addictions 50 years after the trauma occurred.
Children experiencing trauma freeze states may seem lethargic. They are likely to be unable to concentrate or focus, and are frequently misdiagnosed as having attention deficit disorder. They are likely to have anger outbursts that seem unrelated to the present, or are too intense to be explained by current events. Children with trauma may be easily overstressed, and when stressed their blood pressure can drop suddenly, producing paleness, sweating, or even fainting. Trauma freeze states are closely tied to shock, can be medically dangerous, and can occur suddenly without physical injury. Understanding trauma freeze states and trauma symptoms is essential for teachers, parents, coaches, health care providers, and anyone who works with children.
Join us on December 8 as we discuss the signs that indicate trauma states in children, and learn more about how to resolve them. This program will broadcast live on KSTAR 1400 AM in Utah and Salt Lake Valley. It will stream daily on internet radio starting Saturday, December 11 on Web Campus World Wide Radio, Planetary Streams Talk Radio, and Shoutcast.
